[GW] - [ART] [C?] Lunch Break

well, i totally wanted to do a coloured pic for this so that i can be more like ASIA in terms of producing completed works for public consumption... (because, like she said, it feels like cheating to just post sketches for the [info]gundam_herald challenge... ^O^;;;) but alas... um... i'm not so good at colouring. ^O^;;;

characters: Heero and Duo
rating: totally G




time: 2... 3 hours? (this is why i'm too lazy to colour it... haha... it was 2am when i was making my first attempt)
media: wacom tablet + openCanvas

notes:
well, y'all know how i'm obsessed with food, ne? ^O^;;;;
(to follow the trend of everyone else, this is the sketch. it's not the initial sketch though. it's the finalized one. the initial sketch had duo half out of his chair and waving at someone but alas, i couldn't get his right arm to work out... ^O^;;; maybe next time i'll document more along the way... but who wants to see all that? ^O^;;;

you know i love this. it doesn't matter that it's not colored, you've so beautifully captured the moment, and duo's laugh, and the intimacy between them....

aww~~~ *hughugs the trixie* thankies for being so nice to meee~~ ^^;;;;;;;;;;; i kind of like the feeling of this pic too... ^^;;; (i'm getting more and more conceited in my old age... ^^;;;;;) i like duo better than heero here though... i think duo is more natural looking. i guess i'll have to keep practicing on heero's "reserved, yet amused" poses~ ^O^;;;;;

This is so cute! I kind of love how Duo has sandwiches and Heero's sharing his bento. OMG THEY'RE EATING POOKIE. Duo's expression is so gret, too.

and yaaay~~ i was hoping it would be obvious that heero's sharing his octo-dog with duo (and not stealing it off duo's plate... ^O^;;; it's tough with a static picture... ^O^) poor pookie thanks for liking the pic~~ i'm really fond of how duo came out... very natural looking... heero needs some work though... ^O^;;;;;

i just ADORE when Heero uses chopsticks. I don't know why, it's just irresistible! I think it's a great picture--sometimes color isn't necessary to complete a scene, you know?? Thanks for posting it for us to see!!! ^___^

aww~~ thanks! you want to know a secret? heero is left handed in this pic because i had to reference my own hand when drawing... and i have to draw with my right hand. ^O^;;;;;;

It's very cute! I don't think it's cheating to post line art. Line art can be just as pretty as colored art. ^_~

well, i was going back through my old site and files over the weekend and realized that i used to do more completed works. ^O^;;;; i've gotten lazy in my old age... i used to draw eyes too... ^_~ but! in my defense! duo has an eye in this pic. ^O^v

They're adorable! Heero just lives for these lunches, doesn't he? When he has Duo all to himself. And Duo just loves having the undivided attention. ^_____^

ah~ yeah~~~ ^O^;;; actually, in the original pic, i had duo waving at someone... but i think you're right, it's more intimate the way it turned out in the end. i guess my muses were telling me that the boys need their "quiet time". ^O^;;; duo felt very excited to be chattering away at heero~ i had a lot of fun drawing him. he felt very animated from the very start. heero was a little harder. *sigh* can't win 'em all~ ^_^;;;;;

I can't help myself to go back and stare at the octopus some more. ^^;;; It's the first thing that catch my attention on the pic. It's ssoooo cute. ^_^
